Eva Weaver (Brighton/UK): Red Crossing

Over a period of two days, the Münsterbrücke in Zurich is continuously transformed into a sculpture: while she crosses the bridge again and again, Eva Weaver weaves red wool from her costume into the railings of the bridge. In doing so, she not only connects the two banks of the River Limmat, but also tries to create bonds within the population. The audience and passers by are invited to accompany the performer on a part of her journey, to cross the bridge with her and to discuss and exchange stories…

Eva Weaver
was born and raised in Germany and has lived in England for many years, having studied performance studies at the Queen Mary University in London. She has been working as a performer for over ten years, working on projects that have been influenced by her own cultural heritage, her experiences as an art therapist and her interest for shamanism and the burlesque and grotesque.
